Score card improvements in v2.11

Version 2.11 is now available. This version improves the score cards in a number of ways:

  • The look and feel of score cards have been enhanced.
  • You can now specify extra data for inclusion in the score card if you wish. This can include some or all of: Par, Stroke Index, Length of hole. To specify this data, select Edit/Review Course Maps and Score Cards, select a course, then select Score Card.
  • It's now easier to enter scores when playing a round, using bigger keys and less key presses.
  • When playing 9 hole courses, you can now specify you want to play 18 holes. This can be either twice round the one course or once round each of 2 courses (particularly useful for clubs that have 3 or more 9 hole layouts).

New features including Automatic Next Hole in v2.10

Version 2.10 is now available. This version contains a number of new features and enhancements:

  • The app now automatically moves to the next hole when it detects you have been close to the middle of the green and then moved away from the green. However, this feature is disabled if you are recording scores. Also a new Preference allows you to disable Automatic Next Hole if you don't like it.
  • You can now choose to start a round at any hole on the course, and Next Hole now takes you from hole 18 to hole 1 (or 9 to 1 on a 9-hole course).
  • A new Touch Screen in Play a Round Preference allows users to disable the touch screen when Playing a Round. The default setting is that touch screen is enabled to allow you to access the menu options without pressing the MENU key. Note that if you disable the touch screen, the BACK key is also disabled in Play a Round, so you need to use the End Round menu option to end the round.
  • The Shot Distance dialog has been changed to show the distance dynamically as you walk to your ball. As well as measuring your good shots, this can be used to display the distance from where you hit the ball when searching for a lost ball.
  • Support for tablet devices has been added, but note that your tablet must support GPS and must have Google's Maps app installed.

New Green Point Selection Preference in v2.9

A new Green Point Selection Preference allows users to specify which Green points are displayed in the Fairway views. For example these views can include Front and Back of green only, or Middle of green only, or Front, Middle and Back of green.

Also, devices that do not provide a hardware identity number (e.g. some tablet devices) can now be registered with us.
